Camera Shots
Extreme Close-Up 
An extreme close-up is a shot taking only a small section of an area on the face, it is used so that the audience can focus on the image in more depth, this allows the audience to focus clearly on the facial expressions. 
Big Close-Up
A big close-up is a shot taken very close to the face, it shows you an extreme detail of the face. 
Close-Up
A close up is a shot of the entire face, this is a where you can also see the facial expressions on the person. 
Medium Shot
A medium shot is taken from the waist upwards. This shot is normally taken when the person is talking to another person. 
Medium Long Shot
A medium long shot is taken from the knees upwards, again you can see some background to the image which tells the audience what the character may be doing.
Long Shot
A long shot is the whole body taken from a distance, as its taken from a distance there will be some sort of background with it, this tells the audience where the character may be standing. 
Very Long Shot
A very long shot is a shot taken from a far distance, you can again see the background to where the character is standing. A very long shot may be used when someone is running from one end of the track towards the other end. 
Two Shot
A two shot is a shot of two people, framed similarly in a mid shot. 
Over The Shoulder Shot
An over the shoulder shot is a shot looking from behind a person at the subject, in this image its at another person. This shot allows the audience to see from the characters point of view. 
Interviewee
An interviewee shot is a mid shot of the person talking but they are not facing the camera. You find this shot in interviews on television programmes.
Moving Subject Walks into Space
Moving subject is a long shot of someone walking, this shot allows the audience to see what the character sees whilst moving away.
High Angle Shot
A high angle shot tells the audience that the character may be kneeling on the floor and looking up at something. This shot may show some hidden emotion that the audience will find out about.
Tilted Frame
This shot is taken by angling the camera up or down. By tilting the camera up shows more or a large area as you see more of a distance.
